LodgePole Arts Alliance is a National charitable not-for-profit that supports Indigenous artists and arts service workers in platforming and presenting their work, engages in producing performances, and promotes Indigenous engagement through networking and relationship building. We also provide equity and leadership consultancy and workshops to national arts organizations.

Yes. LodgePole Arts Alliance is a registered charity, and your donations of $20 or more are tax-deductible.

Although we operate out of Hotel Wolfe Island, we do not own our own studio creative space yet. LPAA is currently pursuing the purchase of Lemoine Point Farm in the Collin’s Bay region of Kingston, Ontario, Canada to be the future home of the arts studio complex. LodgePole’s space will host all artists and their mediums/disciplines, and provide a landscape to create, collaborate and envision ways to expand one’s artistic and cultural gifts. The relationship that LPAA and our guests develop in partnership with the land, will role-model environmental stewardship & embody climate action by protecting significant woodlands & shoreline through Indigenous caretaking, traditions & knowledge.

The LodgePole Arts Alliance Arts-Studio Complex will be open to local, regional, national, and international Indigenous artists who create, tell, and share stories through:

LodgePole uses the term “Treaty Partner” to describe someone of non-Indigenous heritage who is committed to learning from and working respectfully with Indigenous people and communities, supporting Indigenous leadership and self-determination, and contributing to Indigenous-led arts and cultural work through relationships grounded in respect, reciprocity, listening, and accountability.

LodgePole is an Indigenous-led arts organization, rather than a social-service provider. Our mandate is centred on arts and cultural development, including supporting Indigenous artists and cultural workers, creating opportunities for presentation and collaboration, and strengthening relationships across the Indigenous arts sector. We do not provide the frontline social, health, housing, employment, or family services commonly associated with Friendship Centres.
