We’re proud to partner with Orca Cove Media, Less Bland Productions, and Kingston Canadian Film Festival to present a fun and entertaining double feature highlighting Indigenous voices in film.

3:30 pm The Great Salish Heist (2024)

Follow an Indigenous archaeologist on a thrilling quest to reclaim sacred artifacts and return them to their rightful communities.

Directed by Darrell Dennis and starring Dennis as Steve Joe, the film features an outstanding cast including Graham Greene, Ashley Callingbull, Tricia Helfer, Craig Lauzon, Andrea Menard, and Craig Lauzon.

Immediately following The Great Salish Heist, we will have a short Q&A with Director Darrell Dennis, and Producers Leslie D. Bland and Harold C. Joe.

6:00 pm Sweet Summer Pow Wow (2025)

A heartfelt romantic drama directed by Darrell Dennis, this film follows Riley and Jinny, two Indigenous young adults who fall in love on the summer pow wow circuit. As they navigate personal and cultural challenges, they fight to keep their relationship alive.

Starring Joshua Odjick and Tatyana Rose Baptiste, with supporting roles by Graham Greene, Tanis Parenteau, Lisa C. Ravensbergen, Joel Montgrand, Taylor Kinequon, Trevor Carroll, Nick Dangeli, and Tyler Peters.
