LodgePole Arts Alliance is excited to be part of the inaugural Skýlla Festival, a women-led celebration of arts, culture, entrepreneurship, and community. We invite festival-goers to stop by our table and take part in a welcoming, hands-on beading experience with Métis artist Dr. Carleigh Candice Mignonne Milburn.
Bead n’ B*tch with Dr. Carleigh Candice Mignonne Milburn
Join us for a relaxed Bead n’ B*tch session happening as a drop-in experience throughout the festival. No registration is required. Just stop by, sit down, and get creative.
This informal beading space is open to all skill levels, whether you are trying beading for the first time or looking to reconnect with the practice. Dr. Carleigh Candice Mignonne Milburn will guide participants through the basics of beading while fostering a supportive, conversational space rooted in creativity, learning, and community connection.

Getting to Wolfe Island
Wolfe Island is accessible via the free ferry departing from Kingston, Ontario, to Dawson Point on Wolfe Island. We recommend planning your trip ahead of time, as ferry wait times can be longer during peak summer travel and festival days.

To help make your trip smoother, we suggest walking on to the ferry if possible, as vehicle lineups can be lengthy, especially on busy festival days. Once on the island, Sydenham Street is a short walk from the ferry terminal and will bring you directly into the heart of Skýlla Festival.
